For more than 10 years, we’ve included regular health checks as part of our working practices, making sure that both our employees and on-site operatives are supported in staying fit, safe, and well-equipped for their roles. Every year, we provide professional health checks for all Avantgarde Tiling staff and offer the same opportunity to the operatives who work with us on-site. Participation is voluntary. Some operatives choose to manage their health checks independently, which we fully respect.

face constant exposure to heavy lifting, dust, noise, and repetitive tasks, all of which can
impact both physical and mental health. According to the Health and Safety Executive
(HSE), 51 construction workers died on the job in the UK in 2023/24. Nearly 70,000 more
reported work-related health issues, from back and joint problems to stress, anxiety, and
depression. Long-term dangers such as asbestos exposure still cause over 5,000 deaths a
year. These figures reinforce why construction site wellbeing should be taken seriously: not just
